About

What is the building?

The For the City Center is a physical representation of For the City’s mission to bring restoration to Austin. 500 E. St. John’s was originally a nursing home, but had been sitting mostly vacant for years prior to 2010. The For the City Center is now comprised of a combination of meeting, nonprofit tenant, and church space. Our hope is that this space is one that serves our community in Austin, Texas through a variety of means — whether that be the non profit organizations who office here, events put on by outside companies, or the church that meets here faithfully on Sundays.
